Hur Young-bum, the Department Head of Safety and Health Support at the Ulsan Factory, was honored with the grand prize at the '2nd Best Cases for Ergonomic Working Environment Improvement Contest,' organized by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA). This contest is held annually to discover the best cases of improvements for various issues that happen to workers' musculoskeletal systems in the workplace, such as in the shoulders, elbows, and waist.
This year, Seoyon E-Hwa participated in the contest with their project titled 'Installation of a Lift to Prevent Musculoskeletal Disorders in Workers.' This initiative was undertaken to improve the ergonomic strain found in the HR Seat Cushion assembly process, which was identified during the company's regular risk assessment.
We fiercely competed with 42 participants including large companies such as Kia Motors, Samsung Electronics, and Hanwha, as well as notable research institutes like Yonsei Medical Institute and the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences, and won the grand prize fairly.
