On Monday, August 21, 2023, Seoyeon E-Hwa Ulsan Plant workers held a “Movie Day for People with Disabilities” event in collaboration with the Buk-gu Office and Buk-gu Volunteer Center. Planned to expand cultural experiences for people with disabilities who have relatively limited outdoor activities, this event was held for the second time today thanks to the positive response from people with disabilities after the first event last May.

About 100 people with disabilities enjoyed the event, including Meari Garden, Meari Boram Site, Anayul Sheltered Workshop, and Ulsan Association on Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities. Before screening the movie, participants watched a thank-you video filmed by a facility for disabled people and a promotional video for Seoyeon E-hwa. In the video, people with disabilities expressed their gratitude “for providing opportunities of relieving frustration and offering pleasure” with the “Movie Day for People with Disabilities” event supported by Seoyeon Ewha.

Seoyeon E-Hwa rented an entire movie theater for people with disabilities to watch movies in a more comfortable environment. Also, to help them enjoy the film more enrichingly, the company prepared and delivered popcorn and drinks, must-haves for watching a movie.

In addition, Seoyeon E-Hwa workers did their best to ensure a safe and enjoyable event by "performing as activity assistants," such as guiding people to the movie theater, providing seating guidance, distributing popcorn and drinks, offering advice to bathrooms during the movie, and supporting unexpected situations.

After the movie, many disabled people and welfare organization staff smiled and expressed gratitude. In return, Seoyeon E-Hwa mentioned that it was even more rewarding to present 'a little happiness' to people with disabilities and that it would continue to strive to provide various opportunities to realize the right of people with disabilities to pursue happiness.
